Girl Crush - Shay Mitchell

I have gotta say, I'm am totally in love with this lady.
She is none other than Pretty Little Liars star:

I have always liked a person who never changes no matter how far in their life they have progress and stick to their roots and true self.  It's hard these days to find these sort of people.  People change and become stuck up, but not Shay, that is why I adore her (and yeh, she's beautiful too).  I remember seeing an interview, Shay was asked what's her favourite handbag.  Being as famous as she is now, with all these endorsements and designers wanting her to parade their stuff, Shay's response was a Chanel bag that she brought ages ago.  She worked hard and saved for ages just to buy that bag.  You'll still see her use it now from time to time.  So to her, it doesn't matter if there are newer bags or more gorgeous bags out there, stick to the one that matter most to you.  The bag that she worked hard for and still keeps it close to her....as it's a reminder of her root and starting point of how she got to where she is today.

Now Shay plays a lesbian character in Pretty Little Liars.  When asked whats its like to play a character who likes & kisses girls, her response was simple:  "I think of them as a person I love, regardless of gender."  Yeh, no labels for this modern beauty!!!  She is also a group role model to plenty of teens out in this world.  Not only a good role model, but also a mega down-to-earth star for all her fans.  Some might say it's cos she have to promote the show, she have no choice but to be nice.....I beg to differ.  I see how geniune she is with her fans, answering questions on Facebook, Twitter, Ustream live chats etc. and even set up competitions for fans to win stuff.

Another aspect I like about Shay is how she treats her friends.  Ok, Ok....what would I know right??  From what I can see....her friends love her.  She is great friends with her co-stars..esp Ashley Benson (better know to their fans as "Shayley" or "ButtahBenzo")

Basically to me, this lady can do no wrong and is a goddess to all her fans...me included.

So, I have decided to post a few quotes and of course some pics/gifs of this beautiful lady.

Waiting game

Its torturous that there is nothing to do whilst waiting for something.

Dropped my car off for service at 9.30am, was earlier told it'd be finish by 12pm the latest.  Wasting 2.5hrs is gonna be a drag, but now I'm told it won't be ready until 1.10pm at least.....this just makes it more annoying.

I was going to wait for my car at the place, bum out and watch their boring tv, but decided to take their courtesy drop off at Garden City instead.

Whilst waiting for the pickup, bumped into the guy who I brought my car off.  He remembers my name too, thought guys got bad memory with girl's names?!? Once again he's trying to flirt with me. He brought up the whole karate thing again. I already told him no, not interested in going to his co-owned karate business to learn how to kick people or whatever. Luckily I was saved by the guy driving me to Garden City, otherwise he would be talking/flirting with me for the next 2hrs.

Usually shopping for majority of girls would be heaven or paradise, but for me with nothing in mind to buy, it has become more of a drag of time.

I have taken a tour of the whole shopping centre twice, all this by 11am. I've even tried to go and watch a movie but there is nothing good on that I want to watch. *sigh*

Now I'm just sitting in a coffee shop typing up this blog with a large cappucino.  The workers have already come around to see if I have finished my coffee, trying to take my cup away.  Dude, I only had like 7 sips of my large coffee.  Bugger off, I need to waste time by slowly sipping on my coffee.

Now I'm just wondering if it'd be too rude if I bring out my tablet and start watching tv series.  I guess it might not be.

A lady opposite me is apparently wasting time too by making a big mess.  Scratch-its, she have a big pile of them.  And it seems like she have packed a picnic and is slowly sneaking it out from her bag and eating it.
Now its only 11.24am, what the hell am I gonna do until 1pm????

----

Update: 12.48pm
Waiting to be picked up from Garden City to pick up my car. Have in the meantime typed up another blog (not published yet), look through my whole twitter feed, scroll through my facebook posts, get updates on the Ashes Perth Test match, swore at the dropping AUD and looked for more funny GIFs. Another 20mins wait. What a boring start to the day. And now I'm close to bouncing off the wall from my large coffee.  YEH~~~

Xmas sales is on NOW

You know its the time when the sales are on when you start seeing discounts.

Like I brought a jacket today for $149.99.  The original recommended retail price was $499.98 (!!!), then it reduced to $249.99, and again down to $229.99 before finally hitting the price of $149.99.

You have sometimes gotta really wonder if it really does cost that much to begin with.  I reckon with $149.99 sale price, they are still making a profit.  Sometimes you just feel bad for those factory workers who are paid minimal wage for companies to make huge profits.

But hey, I'm happy with my jacket and I love it.

45 Life Lessons, written by a 90 year old

I read the article below, found some of them already being put into life quotes with pretty pictures circling around on the internet.

45 Life Lessons, written by a 90 year old

5. Don’t buy stuff you don’t need.
6. You don’t have to win every argument. Stay true to yourself.
7. Cry with someone. It’s more healing than crying alone.
8. It’s OK to get angry with God. He can take it.
9. Save for things that matter.
10. When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile.
11. Make peace with your past so it won’t screw up the present.
12. It’s OK to let your children see you cry.
13. Don’t compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.

15. Everything can change in the blink of an eye… But don’t worry; God never blinks.

19. It’s never too late to be happy.  But it’s all up to you and no one else.
20. When it comes to going after what you love in life, don’t take no for an answer.
21. Burn the candles, use the nice sheets, wear the fancy lingerie. Don’t save it for a special occasion. Today is special.
22. Over-prepare, then go with the flow.

Learn from these

“Be brave. Even if you’re not, pretend to be. No one can tell the difference.

Don’t allow the phone to interrupt important moments. It’s there for your convenience, not the callers.

Don’t be afraid to go out on a limb. That’s where the fruit is.

Don’t burn bridges. You’ll be surprised how many times you have to cross the same river.

Don’t forget, a person’s greatest emotional need is to feel appreciated.

Don’t major in minor things.

Don’t say you don’t have enough time. You have exactly the same number of hours per day that were given to Pasteur, Michaelangelo, Mother Teresa, Helen Keller, Leonardo Da Vinci, Thomas Jefferson, and Albert Einstein.

Don’t spread yourself too thin. Learn to say no politely and quickly.

Don’t use time or words carelessly. Neither can be retrieved.

Don’t waste time grieving over past mistakes Learn from them and move on. Every person needs to have their moment in the sun, when they raise their arms in victory, knowing that on this day, at his hour, they were at their very best.

Get your priorities straight. No one ever said on his death bed, ‘Gee, if I’d only spent more time at the office’.

Give people a second chance, but not a third.

Judge your success by the degree that you’re enjoying peace, health and love.

Learn to listen. Opportunity sometimes knocks very softly.

Leave everything a little better than you found it.

Live your life as an exclamation, not an explanation.

Loosen up. Relax. Except for rare life and death matters, nothing is as important as it first seems.

Never cut what can be untied.

Never overestimate your power to change others.

Never underestimate your power to change yourself.

Remember that overnight success usually takes about fifteen years.

Remember that winners do what losers don’t want to do.

Seek opportunity, not security.

A boat in harbor is safe, but in time its bottom will rot out.

Spend less time worrying who’s right, more time deciding what’s right.

Stop blaming others. Take responsibility for every area of your life.

Success is getting what you want. Happiness is liking what you get.

The importance of winning is not what we get from it, but what we become because of it.

When facing a difficult task, act as though it’s impossible to fail.”

Running update of Tattoo

01/12/13 - Gonna do a running update of my new Tattoo.  (Well, it's 3 days already, so not new anymore I guess.)  I am still awaiting for the colouring from the stencil to come off.  I can see bits & pieces of the white ink.  I have gotta say, he really did a good job on the word "love"

02/12/13 - Still waiting for the stencil ink to come off.

03/12/13 - Slowly peeling

04/12/13 - Quite itchy today.  Maybe it's the cream I'm putting on and the fact it's wanting to peel

07/12/13 - As each day goes by, I can see it's starting to look better & better.  Can't wait until all the peeling is over

Day 1 - Fresh from getting it done
Day 2 - Removed the bandage
Day 3 - Letting it breath

Day 4 - Still waiting...

Day 5 - Peeling a little bit

Day 6 - Itchy & peeling

Day 7 - peeling big time

Day 8 - Looking good
